    Draculas ~ Beast of Burlesque

After thinking for hours, we decided to buy 2 tickets for the Draculas night show before we back to Malaysia the next morning. It is an Australia’s most horrific, hideous, incredibly scary but most sensational evening of entertainment at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.

    Main entrance

Hubby said it’s worth to experience their advance bands, decoration, food and show even though the price is expensive - A$78.00 per person.  The ticket price includes ghost train ride, 3 course dinner, all pre show entertainment and the live horror comedy show.

Able to snap this photo at the entrance

Too bad that camera is not allow inside the hall. I can only snapped some photos before enter. If you want to know more about the show, you can visit to their site.

The show is full on every weekend with A$84 per person. We bought the tickets at The Haunted House when shopping in central Surfers Paradise. If our kid is along with us, I don’t think we can enjoy the show though it’s designed for a mature audience, and children under 13 years old are not recommend.

    The Wax Museum

Next, we went to The Wax Museum before we go to Surfers Paradise beach for a walk. Here, I meet famous people in wax who made history. The entrance fee is A$24 per person. It takes about an hour to finish the visit. Besides that, I got to know about authentic records of man’s inhumanity to man, from medieval torture devices to that most infamous of all Hitler’s gas chamber and dead camps.

    Entrance to The Wax Museum

Lord Horatio Nelson - Bristish Admiral and Naval Hero

    Gandhi - Indian National Leader

William Shakespeare - English Dramatist and Poet

Madame Tussaud - Swiss modeller in wax

It’s not included in the package, and I got to know about this museum through the tourists guide book. Well, it is a good experience not to be missed on your visit to Gold Coast.

    Movie World

We went to Movie World, a popular movie related theme park on the Gold Coast in Australia. It has various movie-themed rides and attractions ranging from motion simulators to roller coasters and slow river rides. Too bad that hubby and I scared to play for those roller coasters. :P Just stand there and snapped photos.

    Batman returns

Scooby-Doo and The Mystery Inc, Gang

The most excited part was when all star parade featuring all favourite Warner Bros, Movie characters including Scooby-Doo and The Mystery Inc Gang, Bugs Bunny, Batman, Catwoman, Shrek, Looney Tunes characters and all the blockbuster superheroes and vilains.

The All Star Parade in progress

    Wild wild west long flume

Hubby went for the ride and I’m too scared of it, so I better stand aside and took nice photo for him. We spend 5 hours in the theme park and actually it’s not enough for me. There are many souvenir shops and I bought few t-shirts and a nice cup for my kid. The stuffs are so lovely and how nice if I can grab all for my kid. LOL!!!

It’s a great place for kids and I’m sure will bring my kid here one day…….

    Shopping Heaven

Shopping is a must when you are in Gold Goast for shopaholic just like me. Of course I can’t shop like freak like I’m in Ipoh, the AUD currency is so scary, it’s same like US dollar. :P

The first shopping centre I visited was Harbour Town, a outlet shopping where quality brands sell direct for up to 60% less every day.

    Harbour Town Outlet Shopping

    Circle on Cavill

While waiting hubby back from the jetboat extreme, I walked around myself to the nearest shopping centre at Circle on Cavill and Centro Surfers Paradise.

    Centro Surfers Paradise

    Pacific Fair Shopping Centre

One of the most famous shopping centre in Gold Coast where your passion for fashion can be fully satisfied. There are over 120 fashion and accessory stores that make you shop till you drop. LOL!!! We can’t finish visit to all of the stores as most of them close at 5pm.

    Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre

We visited to the last shopping centre before we back to Malaysia. It was a great time to shop in Gold Coast, but hubby was busy answered calls when we were in shopping centre most of the time.

    Paradise Country Farm

Next time when you visit to Gold Coast, do experience the real farm life at Paradise Country. Besides that, you can enjoy some attractive shows while having a cup of billy tea.

A ride drove us to the farm

    cute baby koala

Immerse yourself in Australian wildlife by snuggling up with Australia’s most amazing native animal, the koala and get up close with other native animals like kangaroos and emus. You can even cuddle the koala and take photo with it. Well, koalas need suitable tree species, usually eucalyptus to survive. I got to know that baby koala actually called a “Joey” which is less than 2cm long and weighs less than 1g when born.

I’m so excited when I see kangaroo though it’s the Australian’s most amazing native animal too besides koala. Do you know that eastern grey kangaroos have excellent senses of smell, sight and hearing? When an eastern grey kangaroo senses danger, it will thump the ground with it’s hind legs to warn the rest of the mob. Clever huh ?

    Billy tea show

    Stock horse show

    Whip cracking

After photo taking with koala, it’s time for us to experience a traditional Australian Billy Tea making and damper made by a local stockman around the campfire. Next, witness the amazing horse skills of their stockmen in spectacular stock horse demonstration. Then, hubby was invited to join the whip cracking game.

    Sheep shearing show

    photo with the master shearer

    Dining hall

We enjoyed our barbeque lunch in the hall at 12pm. Whilst enjoying lunch, we were entertained with some Aussie music. Some tourists even join in the fun of bush dancing with the staffs. LOL!!!

    Sea World Adventure

Upon arrival, we transferred to hotel to rest for 2 hours before we off to Sea World. It is The Australian largest and most comprehensive marine park.  It having been started in 1958 as Surfers Paradise Ski Gardens at Carrara and later renamed and relocated to Sea World Drive in 1971.

It remains a showcase of marine life wonders and a place where you can enjoy various rides, shows and other attractions. I don’t know why that my sister in law said it’s a boring place. It is more exciting if I bring my kid along.

    Nice scenery

    Boat rides

    very crowded even it’s weekday

New fish detectives sea lion show

    Imagine dolphin show

    Waterski Wipeout

We spend about 6 hours in the theme park and back to hotel in the evening. It’s a must go place when you visit to Gold Coast. Even though it’s a sunny day, but hubby and I enjoyed all the shows and activities there.

    Reception area

The room is fine and it’s almost the same what I see at their website.  Nothing to complain but accept their great services and facilities. They provide internet kiosk and I got to online to check my mailbox with A$2 for 15 minutes. LOL!!!

    Bye Bye Malaysia

Finally I have packed all my stuffs and get ready for my trip to Gold Coast tomorrow. I’m sure will miss my family members especially my son. Hubby and I will call back once we reach there. I asked hubby to buy a prepaid card there as it’s more cheaper instead of using his own handphone. But he doesn’t want it and feel troublesome need to look for the phone each time when we want to call back.

We will reach LCCT airport around 5pm by coach tomorrow. Our flight is 9.20pm and hopefully no delay. Well, since we have 4 hours there, I will check in earlier as to shop at duty free. Hopefully I can get something nice for my son. Geee…..I can’t wait for the trip, still have about 12 hours to go.

If you want to know more about myGold Coast trip, wait till I come back after a week.  So, bye bye Malaysia for a week !!!

I told her not at all, I just feel interest to write about my traveling experience suddenly. So, this blog will be my journal in traveling. :P

    Accomodation In Gold Coast

Today is the last day of Matta Fair, so hubby wants me to confirm our tour package and accomodation in Gold Coast. Well, we are heading to Gold Coast for 7 days 5 nights in May. LOL!!! We have bought the flight tickets two months ago and it’s the time for us to decide wheather go for free & easy or take the tour package. Finally, we have made decision and we took the tour package.

I have chosen this Paradise Resort as our accomodation when we’re in Gold Coast.  I prefer to choose the cheapest hotel in the package and save some money to go shopping or other places since we have one free day there. Well, after checked through the details of the hotel, both of us agreed to stay in this 3 stars hotel. Not bad, right?

I’m so excited and waiting for the day comes. Let me count and I still have to wait for another 2 months. Well, since hubby is running his franchise travel company, we can get discount from HQ for our package. LOL!!!
