My first day teaching English in Thailand! It was “meh,” but I’m still stoked to be in Thailand. Once orientation finished, some of us spent a few days chilling in Bangkok, enjoying the nightlife. Then we all shipped off to our respective destinations, some 8 hours or more away from Bangkok! Thankfully, our minibus ride was only about 2 hours from Bangkok, giving just enough time for a nap and scenic views.

Nakhon Nayok is a small city with a population of roughly 250,000 people. It’s my home until October!

Thankfully, it’s simple to use a motorbike to travel around town. Aside from riding to work every morning, we sometimes use our motorbikes for weekend drives. It’s an incredibly entertaining way to explore a place.

I got my TEFL with the International TEFL Academy online. I got my job through the agency Mediakids Academy. Mediakids Academy works with schools around Thailand to employ people to teach english in Thailand. For me, teaching English abroad is a great way to earn money while traveling.

If you have TEFL questions, toss them in the comments!!
